Coaching vs. Therapy

The clearest and most fundamental way to differentiate each service is outlined below, along with the principles to consider when considering which service is most appropriate for you in my own practice.

Therapy

For clinical-related issues.

If your issue is clinical in nature (trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, attachment-based issues, etc.), we will work under a therapeutic relationship. At this time, I am only able to provide therapy to clients in the state of California.

Coaching

For non-clinical issues.

If you are seeking support on a more focused issue, such as work-life balance, career-related issues, dating and relationships, or even a major transition like retirement or a career change, you may choose to work together in a coaching capacity. I am able to work with coaching clients virtually, regardless of location.
